UCID Setup


This process will create a NJIT University Computing ID (UCID) for you. Your UCID and password can be used to access various systems depending on your role at NJIT as listed below:

In the next steps you will be asked to identify yourself, provide some basic information, create a password and indicate your acceptance of Use Guidelines Policy.

Step 1 of 7: Identification

Please enter personal information as indicated below in order to confirm your identity. Your responses will be compared to NJIT's databases.
First Middle
Enter your name as it is on record with the NJIT Registrar or Human Resources Office. Leave the "Middle Initial" field empty if you don't have or don't use a middle name. Don't worry about capitalization.
Your 8 digit NJITID excluding dashes, for example:


Optionally, you may use your 9 digit SSN excluding dashes, for example:


Foreign students can use their SSN-subsitute-id --> SSN-subsitute-id if one was assigned by the admissions department.

You can use your permanent or local (non-USA) postal code as provided to NJIT for admission, registration, grades, or paycheck. If you have a non-USA address and it does not include any kind of postal code, please just enter "none" here.
